dear2050: Entangled Forests
Alongside Janik Bruschi and Maëlle Torné , I organized and led various workshops and tours in parallel to the travelling exhibition, Dear2050: Entangled Forests, in collaboration with Bettina Rohr of Climanosco, mentored by Desirée Hieronymus.
Forest Tours: as an attempt to relocate the curatorial experience, we organized a series of forest tours that interacted with the forest as an exhibitionary space. The tours consisted of discussions around the local histories and cultures of forestry and nature, followed by reading out scientific papers directly to the trees and finally by an investigation with various tools where participants could emulate their interpretations of science and art.
Collage Workshops: a series of collage workshops were carried out in making a three-dimensional, two-strata forest. This workshop explored the ways in which people conceived of a forest ecosystem and the different forms of biotic and abiotic beings that existed in it. The exercise evolved from conceiving of sollipsistic existences to binary relationships and finally, to a community intersection among the forest beings.
Exhibition-Interventions: throughout the exhibition, we created small interactive stations that put the isitors in conversation with the artworks and with their own experience of the topic of forests.
