roadtrip
‘roadtrip’ is a series of acrylic paintings produced on second-hand canvases (each previously painted or printed) between 2020 and 2022. the series began with iteration #1 (pictured on the left) at the time of the 2020 August Complex wildfires.
‘roadtrip’ takes from the idea of a pan-American travel and a collection of fictional and real places to explore the looming catastrophe with which we lead our lives. each scene develops around a calm and seemingly unprecarious situation which slowly evolves into a state of emergency.
